Merge onto US-70 W and then take exit 287A for Glenwood Ave/US-70 W. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Glenwood Ave/US-70 W. Continue on Glenwood Ave. The entrance to William B. Umstead State Park will be on your right at 8801 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27617.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, first take the Triangle Transit bus service (Route 100) from downtown Raleigh towards the RDU Airport. Get off at the stop at Glenwood Ave & I-40. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach the park entrance at 8801 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27617. Be prepared for a bit of a hike, as there are no direct bus services to the park.
