    If you are traveling by car, start on NC-12 S (Oregon Inlet Rd) heading south. Continue straight until you reach the junction with US-64 E. Merge onto US-64 E and follow it for about 7 miles. Take the exit toward Manteo and merge onto US-64 E again. Continue on US-64 E for approximately 7 miles until you reach Manteo. Once in Manteo, look for Conservation Way and turn left. The Coastal North Carolina Refuges Gateway Visitor Center will be on your right at 100 Conservation Way, Manteo, NC 27954. There is free parking available on-site.

The Dare County Public Transit operates buses that connect various towns in the Outer Banks. You will want to find a route that takes you to Manteo. Once you arrive at the Manteo bus stop, it’s about a 0.5-mile walk to the visitor center. Head west on US-64 E, turn onto Conservation Way, and walk until you reach the visitor center at 100 Conservation Way, Manteo, NC 27954.
