Car
If you are driving, head towards Manteo on NC-12 N. Once you arrive in Manteo, follow the signs to US-64 E. Continue on US-64 E and then turn onto National Park Dr. Fort Raleigh National Historic Site will be on your right at 1401 National Park Dr, Manteo, NC 27954. Parking is available on-site, and there is no charge for parking.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check for local shuttle services that operate in the Outer Banks area. The Dare County Transportation system offers routes that can take you to Manteo. You will want to ask the driver for the nearest stop to Fort Raleigh National Historic Site. Once you get off the shuttle, it is about a 15-minute walk to the site. Make sure to plan your return trip as shuttle services may have limited hours.

For those who prefer biking, the Outer Banks has several bike rental shops available. You can rent a bike in Manteo and ride to Fort Raleigh National Historic Site. The ride from downtown Manteo to the site is approximately 2 miles and can be done via National Park Dr. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking laws. There are bike racks available to secure your bike once you arrive.
