Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the central Outer Banks area, take NC-12 North towards Corolla. Continue on NC-12 for approximately 16 miles. After passing through Duck and Southern Shores, you will enter Corolla. Keep an eye out for the Corolla Village Road and turn left onto it. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse is located at 1101 Corolla Village Rd, Corolla, NC 27927. There is usually ample parking available near the lighthouse.

• Public Transportation (Shuttle)

  If you are using public transportation, check local shuttle services that operate in the Outer Banks during the tourist season. Look for shuttles that specifically serve the Corolla area. You can find shuttles that depart from Duck or Southern Shores. Make sure to confirm the shuttle schedule, as they may have limited runs and seasonal availability. Once you arrive in Corolla, you might have to walk a short distance to get to the lighthouse, as the shuttles may not drop you off directly at the entrance.

• Walking or Biking

  If you are staying in Corolla or nearby, consider walking or biking to the lighthouse. It is a pleasant area with scenic views. From the Corolla Village, head towards the Corolla Lighthouse. The lighthouse is a short walk from the main road and is well-marked. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and take water, especially during warmer months, as it may take approximately 15-20 minutes on foot.
