If you're traveling by car, head to Manteo, NC. From the main Outer Banks road (NC-12), take the exit for US-64 E towards Manteo. Continue on US-64 until you reach the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto NC-345 N, which will lead you onto Airport Road. The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island will be located on your right at 374 Airport Rd, Manteo, NC 27954. Look for the large aquarium sign as you approach.

If you're using public transportation, the Dare County Public Transportation provides a shuttle service that connects various towns in the Outer Banks. You can catch the 'The Wave' bus that operates from Corolla to Hatteras. Ensure you check the schedule ahead of time. You will want to get off at the Manteo stop, which is the closest to the aquarium. From there, it's about a 1-mile walk to the aquarium along Airport Road. If you prefer not to walk, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to cover the short distance.

For those adventurous enough to bike, you can ride along NC-12 or utilize local bike paths. Ensure you have a map or GPS device as you navigate to Manteo. Once you reach Airport Road, the aquarium will be on your right. Please wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules for safety.

If you are staying in Manteo, the aquarium is within walking distance from the downtown area. Simply head south on US-64 and then take a left onto NC-345 N. Continue straight until you reach Airport Road and turn right. The aquarium will be ahead on your right. This route is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30 minutes.
