If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the Blue Ridge Parkway. From Asheville, NC, take I-240 E and merge onto US-74A S. Continue on US-74A S until you reach the intersection with the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn onto the Parkway and head south. Drive for approximately 12 miles until you see the Graveyard Fields parking area on your right. There is no fee for parking at this site.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Asheville to Brevard, NC. From Brevard, you may need to arrange for a local taxi service or rideshare to reach the Graveyard Fields trailhead, as public transit options may not be available directly to the falls. Once at the Graveyard Fields parking area, the hike to Upper Falls is approximately 1.5 miles along the Graveyard Fields Loop Trail. Follow the signs and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

Once you arrive at the Graveyard Fields parking area, begin your hike on the Graveyard Fields Loop Trail. Follow the trail markers, and after about 0.5 miles, you will reach an intersection. Take the left fork to continue towards the Upper Falls. The trail will lead you downhill towards the falls, which are approximately 1 mile from the starting point. Be cautious as the trail can be rocky and steep in places.
