If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city such as Asheville, NC. Take I-40 East towards Old Fort. Exit 73 towards US-70 E. After a short drive on US-70, you will merge onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. Continue on the Parkway for about 15 miles until you reach Milepost 350.4. The Green Knob Lookout Tower will be on your right side at this milepost. There are parking areas available nearby.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus or shuttle service from Asheville to Old Fort. Once you arrive in Old Fort, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Blue Ridge Parkway, as there is no direct public transport to the lookout tower. Once you reach the vicinity of Milepost 350.4, you can follow the signs to the Green Knob Lookout Tower. Be prepared for a short hike to reach the tower from the parking area.
