For example, from the Cradle of Forestry, head southeast on US-276 S for about 12 miles. Then, merge onto I-26 N via the ramp to Asheville. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 21 for NC-19/NC-197 toward Weaverville. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto NC-197 N, and continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Reems Creek Rd, and after about 0.5 miles, you will arrive at Vance Birthplace, located at 911 Reems Creek Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787.
