Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Pisgah National Forest entrance. Head northeast on US-276 N. Continue for approximately 12 miles until you reach the intersection with Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn right onto Blue Ridge Parkway and continue for about 8 miles. Look for the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center on your left; the Craggy Pinnacle Tunnel is located just north of it. You can park at the Visitor Center and walk to the tunnel. There are no entrance fees for the Pisgah National Forest but there may be a parking fee at the Visitor Center.

If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus to Asheville, NC. From Asheville, you can take a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or rent a car to reach the Craggy Pinnacle Tunnel. From Asheville, head northeast on I-240 E, then merge onto US-74A N. Follow signs for US-276 N towards the Blue Ridge Parkway. Continue as described above for driving directions. Be aware that public transportation options may be limited, and consider planning your trip ahead to ensure transportation availability.

If you are already at the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center, you can reach the Craggy Pinnacle Tunnel by walking. The tunnel is approximately a 0.5-mile hike from the Visitor Center. Follow the Craggy Pinnacle Trail, which is well-marked and takes you through beautiful scenery. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a moderate hike.
