Car
From Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, exit the park and head west on Fort Lincoln Rd. Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with ND-1806. Turn left onto ND-1806 South and follow it for approximately 15 miles. Then, merge onto ND-200 West and continue for about 12 miles. Take the exit for Washburn and follow the signs to 28th Ave SW. Turn left onto 28th Ave SW, and you will find Fort Mandan State Historic Site at 838 28th Ave SW, Washburn, ND 58577. The total drive should take around 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic.
