The path is well-marked, and you can expect a pleasant walk of about 1 mile along the designated trails. The site is located on the banks of the Missouri River, approximately 15 minutes on foot from the visitor center.

    For those who prefer to drive, navigate to the parking area near the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park entrance. From the entrance, take Fort Lincoln Road (also known as County Road 1806) heading south. After approximately 1 mile, you will see signs indicating the Mandan Village Historic Site on your left. The parking lot is conveniently located near the entrance to the site. Parking is free for visitors of the park.
