From any point along the Maah Daah Hey Trail, head toward the nearest highway (likely Highway 85). Follow Highway 85 south towards Medora. As you approach Medora, turn left onto 5th Street, which will take you directly into the town. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Broadway Street. Turn left onto Broadway Street, and follow it until you reach the entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The Maltese Cross Cabin is located within the park, so you will need to pay an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass. After entering the park, follow the signs to the Maltese Cross Cabin, which is approximately 6 miles from the entrance.

While there is limited public transportation directly in the area, you can take a bus or shuttle service to Medora from major cities like Dickinson or Fargo. Once in Medora, you can either walk or use a local taxi service to reach Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The park entrance is about 1 mile from downtown Medora, and you will need to pay the $30 entrance fee to access the park. After entering, follow the signs to the Maltese Cross Cabin.
