Public Bus
From the Mandan Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 100 3rd Ave NW. Board the #1 bus towards Bismarck and stay on for about 10 minutes. Get off at the 8th St & Main Ave stop in Bismarck. From there, transfer to the #4 bus towards River Rd and get off at the Riverside Park stop. The Dakota Zoo is a short walk from the bus stop, just follow the signs towards Riverside Park.
Bicycle
Start at the Mandan City Park. Head south towards Memorial Highway (US-83). Use the bike lane to cross the river on the Memorial Bridge. Continue onto River Road in Bismarck and follow the road as it curves. After about 3 miles, you will see the entrance to Dakota Zoo on your right. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start at the Mandan Depot. Head east on Main St towards the river. Follow the path along the riverbank, which will lead you across the Memorial Bridge. Once in Bismarck, continue on River Road for about 1.5 miles. The Dakota Zoo will be on your right side, and you will see signs directing you to the entrance.
