If you are in downtown Mandan, start at the corner of 1st Ave NW and Main St. Head west on 1st Ave NW until you reach 6th St NW. Turn right (north) onto 6th St NW and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Memorial Hwy. Cross Memorial Hwy carefully, as it is a busy road. Once you cross, continue straight onto the path that leads towards Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Follow the signs within the park, and you will soon see the entrance to On-A-Slant Indian Village.

For those biking, start at the Mandan Depot at 1st St NE. Head south on 1st St NE until you reach Memorial Hwy. Take a left onto Memorial Hwy, then continue towards Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Once you reach the park entrance, park your bike and follow the designated path to On-A-Slant Indian Village. Be cautious of any bike traffic and pedestrians along the way.
