If you are driving from any location in the Red River Valley, first head south on US-83 S toward Bismarck. After about 60 miles, take the exit for I-94 W toward Billings. Continue on I-94 W for approximately 80 miles until you reach exit 27 for Medora. After exiting, turn left onto ND-16 S and follow the signs to Medora, which is about 5 miles away. Once in Medora, follow the local roads to the Badlands Overlook, located at 46.9220421, -103.4521211. The overlook is easily accessible with plenty of parking available.
