Car
If you are driving from the center of Red River Valley, start by heading north on US-81 N. Continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with ND-32 N. Take the exit for ND-32 N toward Walhalla. Follow ND-32 N for about 22 miles. As you approach Walhalla, keep an eye out for signs indicating the Gingras Trading Post State Historic Site. Turn right onto 105th St NE and drive for about 2 miles. The historic site will be on your left at 12899 105th St NE, Walhalla, ND 58282.

Once in Walhalla, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Gingras Trading Post. From the Walhalla town center, head east on Main St, then turn right onto 105th St NE. The Gingras Trading Post will be approximately 3 miles down this road, so be prepared for a bit of a walk or ensure you have a taxi arranged.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to cycle to the Gingras Trading Post, start from the center of Red River Valley. Take US-81 N for about 30 miles to the ND-32 N junction. From there, continue on ND-32 N for about 22 miles. Note that the road may have light traffic, so be cautious while cycling. Once you reach Walhalla, turn right onto 105th St NE and cycle for about 2 miles to reach the historic site.
