Car
If you are in Sheyenne National Grassland, start by heading south on ND-1 S for approximately 5 miles. Turn east onto County Road 10 and continue for about 3 miles. You will then reach the intersection with County Road 23. Turn north onto County Road 23 and drive for another 2 miles. The Bachman Waterfowl Production Area will be on your left. Look for the sign indicating the area.

Public transportation options may be limited in this rural area. However, you can consider taking a Greyhound bus or a similar service to reach nearby towns such as Lisbon or Valley City. From there, it is advisable to rent a car or use a rideshare service to reach Bachman Waterfowl Production Area. If you take the bus to Lisbon, you can follow the same directions as if you were driving from Sheyenne National Grassland: head south on ND-1 S, turn east onto County Road 10, and follow the remaining directions as previously noted.
