Car
If you're driving from central Akershus, take the E18 highway towards Oslo. Follow the signs for 'Oslo' and merge onto E6 as you approach the city. Continue on E6 until you reach the exit for 'Gamle Oslo.' Once you exit, follow the signs for 'Rådhuset' (City Hall) and find parking nearby. From there, head to the waterfront at Aker Brygge and take a ferry to Bleikøya. Ferries run regularly, and the journey offers beautiful views of the fjord.
Public Transportation
To reach Bleikøya using public transport, start by taking the metro (T-bane) Line 1 from any station in Akershus towards 'Frognerseteren.' Disembark at 'Nationaltheatret' station. From there, walk to the Aker Brygge ferry terminal, which is approximately 10 minutes on foot. At the terminal, board the ferry that goes to Bleikøya. The ferry ride offers scenic views and takes about 20 minutes to reach the island.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike and head towards Oslo along the designated bike paths. Follow the route along the Oslofjord towards Aker Brygge. Once you reach the waterfront, park your bike securely at the bike racks available. From Aker Brygge, take the ferry to Bleikøya. The ferry ride is a short and pleasant trip across the fjord.
