Car
If you are driving from central Akershus, head east on E6 towards Oslo. Take exit 57 towards Rv159. Continue on Rv159, then merge onto E18 towards Oslo. Follow the signs for E18 and exit towards Oslo. As you enter Oslo, follow the signs for Sognsvann. You will need to navigate towards the northeastern part of Oslo. Lutvannet Beach is located at 59.9177 latitude and 10.8820 longitude. Use your GPS or a navigation app to ensure you reach the exact location. There is free parking available near the beach.
Public Transportation
To reach Lutvannet Beach using public transportation, start by taking a train from any station in Akershus to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). From Oslo S, take the T-bane (subway) line 3 (to Mortensrud) or line 4 (to Bergkrystallen) and get off at the Sognsvann station. From Sognsvann, you can take bus number 31 towards Sæter, and disembark at the Lutvann stop. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. The bus fare is approximately NOK 40 for a single ticket. Make sure to check the Ruter website or app for the latest schedules.
