Walking
From the city center of Ålesund, start at the Town Park (Byparken). Head northeast on Kongens gate towards Storgata. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Tuenesvegen. Turn right onto Tuenesvegen. Keep walking along Tuenesvegen for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Storhaugen as you approach the area. Follow the signs and take the path leading up to Storhaugen, which is located on a hilltop. The walk should take approximately 25-30 minutes.
Public Transport
From the city center, head to the nearest bus stop at 'Aksla'. Take bus number 3 towards 'Lerstad'. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Tuenesvegen' stop. From there, walk about 500 meters towards the hill. Follow the signs for Storhaugen, which will lead you to the hiking area. The total travel time, including walking, should be around 30-40 minutes.
