Walking
From the town center of Ålesund, head towards the waterfront and follow the main road, Kirkegata, which runs along the harbor. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of the road. Take the second exit onto Storgata, heading towards the direction of Aksla viewpoint. Continue on Storgata until you see the sign for Sukkertoppen. Follow the signs to Sukkertoppen trailhead, which is marked clearly. The trail is approximately a 30-minute hike uphill. Enjoy the scenic views of Ålesund along the way!

Start at the main bus station in Ålesund, located near the town center. Look for bus number 610, which heads towards 'Brosundet.' Board the bus and stay on for about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop labeled 'Sukkertoppen.' From the bus stop, follow the signposts leading to the Sukkertoppen hiking trail, which is a short walk away. The trail is well-marked and offers a beautiful view of the city as you ascend.
