Getting there

Walking

If you're in the city center, head towards the harbor (Bryggen). From the Fish Market, walk straight towards the waterfront. You will see the famous wooden houses of Bryggen to your left. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the Bergenhus Fortress. The Rosenkrantz Tower is located within the fortress area. Follow the signs towards the fortress entrance and then take a left towards the tower. It should take approximately 15 minutes of walking from the Fish Market.

Bus

From the city center, you can take bus number 3 or 4 from the bus stop at 'Bystasjonen' (City Bus Station). Get off at the 'Bergenhus Festning' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the fortress. The Rosenkrantz Tower is within the fortress grounds. This journey will take about 10 minutes on the bus, plus a short walk to the tower.

Funicular

If you are near the Fløibanen Funicular station (located at Vetrlidsallmenningen), take the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen. Enjoy the view and take a hike down to the city. While this is a longer route, it provides a scenic walk down the mountain towards the city center. Once you reach the bottom, head towards the harbor and follow the waterfront to the Bergenhus Fortress, where you will find the Rosenkrantz Tower.
