Fløibanen: Journey to the Heights of Bergen

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Bryggen Wharf area, head east along the waterfront on Bryggen. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rådhusgaten. Turn left onto Rådhusgaten and walk until you reach the intersection with Vetrlidsallmenningen. Turn right onto Vetrlidsallmenningen. You will find the Fløibanen ticket office and entrance a short walk ahead at Vetrlidsallmenningen 23A.

• Bus

  From Bergen Bus Station (Bergen sentrum), take bus number 12 towards Fløysvingene. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the Fløibanen stop and walk a short distance to the entrance located at Vetrlidsallmenningen 23A.

• Funicular

  If you are near the city center, you can take a stroll to the Fløibanen funicular station. It is located at Vetrlidsallmenningen 23A, easily accessible on foot from Torgallmenningen. Simply head down Vetrlidsallmenningen, and you will see the entrance to the funicular where you can purchase tickets.

• Taxi

  You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Bergen. Simply tell the driver to take you to Vetrlidsallmenningen 23A, where the Fløibanen cable car station is located. The ride should be quick, depending on traffic.
