Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start your journey at Bergen's main transportation hub, Bergen Stasjon (the central train station). From there, take bus number 16 towards 'Gravdal.' The bus stop is located right outside the station. Ride the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the 'Gravdal' stop. Once you exit the bus, head towards the direction of Gravdalsbakken. Follow the road uphill for about 10 minutes until you see the entrance to Kvarven Fort on your right. The fort is situated at the top of the hill, offering a stunning view of the surrounding area.

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore the area on foot, start at the Bergen Fish Market (Fisketorget). From the Fish Market, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs to 'Bryggen.' Continue along the waterfront promenade until you reach the 'Bergenhus Fortress.' From there, take the road leading towards Laksevåg. Walk along the waterfront for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Gravdalsbakken, where Kvarven Fort is located.
