Car

If you're driving, take the E6 highway towards Otta. From Otta, follow the signs for Route 51 towards Gjendesheim. After approximately 30 km on Route 51, turn onto Gjendevegen (you'll see signs for Gjendesheim). Continue on Gjendevegen for about 15 km until you reach the Gjendesheim DNT Cabin at Gjendevegen 200, 2683 Tessanden. There are parking facilities available near the cabin, but be aware that a parking fee may apply.
Public Transportation

To reach Gjendesheim DNT Cabin via public transport, take a bus from Oslo or Lillehammer to Otta. From Otta, you can catch a local bus that goes directly to Gjendesheim during the summer months (check the local bus schedules for exact times). The bus will drop you off near the cabin.
