Walking
From Bryggen, head east on Bryggen towards the Fish Market (Fisketorget), which is approximately a 5-minute walk. Once at the Fish Market, turn left onto Torget and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Østre Murallmenningen. Turn right onto Østre Murallmenningen, and follow this road as it curves around and turns into Nordnesbakken. Continue walking up Nordnesbakken until you see signs for Fredriksberg festning, which is located on the Nordnes peninsula.

From Bryggen, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Bergen Fisketorget' (Fish Market), which is about a 5-minute walk. Take bus line 12 towards 'Kipervik' or line 13 towards 'Nordnes', and get off at the 'Nordnes' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Fredriksberg festning. Follow the signs and directions as you walk northeast towards the fortress.

If driving from Bryggen, head southwest on Bryggen towards Strandkaien. Take a left onto Rådhusgaten. Follow the road and turn right onto Østre Murallmenningen.
