Getting There

  • Walking

    From Bryggen, head southeast on Bryggen towards the Fløibanen funicular station. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rasmus Meyers allé. Turn right onto Rasmus Meyers allé and follow it until you reach the entrance to the University Museum of Bergen, which is on your left. The tree is located in the nearby Arboretum, which is at a distance of approximately 2.5 kilometers from Bryggen.

    From Bryggen, walk to the nearest bus stop on Strandgaten. Take bus number 23 towards 'Bergen sentrum', and get off at the stop 'Universitetet'. From there, the Arboretum is about a 10-minute walk. Head south on Allégaten, and then take a left onto the path leading to the Arboretum, where Norges Største Tre is located.
