Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Bergen Railway Station, begin by exiting the station and heading towards the main street, Strømgaten. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, passing the lovely shops and cafés. When you reach the intersection with Torgallmenningen, turn left and continue towards the harbor. Follow the signs to Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is a short walk away. Once at Bryggen, you will see a wooden pier and several historic buildings. From here, head to Øvregaten, which is to your left. Continue walking up Øvregaten for about 5 minutes until you arrive at Schøtstuene, located at Øvregaten 50.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the city center, find the nearest bus stop. You can take bus number 3, which goes towards 'Loddefjord'. Board the bus and stay on for about 5 stops (approximately 10 minutes). Get off at the 'Bryggen' stop. After disembarking, walk towards the harbor area and follow the waterfront. You will see the Bryggen wharf. Walk left along the waterfront until you reach Øvregaten. Turn left onto Øvregaten and walk for about 2 minutes to reach Schøtstuene at Øvregaten 50.

    If you are near the Fløibanen funicular, walk to the nearest tram stop (the closest is 'Fløibanen' stop). Take the tram headed towards 'Bergen sentrum'. Ride for 2 stops and get off at the 'Torgallmenningen' stop. After exiting the tram, walk straight towards the harbor. As you approach Bryggen, follow the waterfront, and you will come to Øvregaten. Turn left onto Øvregaten and walk for approximately 5 minutes until you arrive at Schøtstuene, located at Øvregaten 50.
