Walking
If you are staying in Flåm, start at the Flåm Church located in the center of Flåm. From the church, head north on the main road (Fv 63). After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the Brekkefossen trailhead on your left. Follow the signs indicating 'Brekkefossen.' The hike to the waterfall is about 1.5 kilometers uphill and will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle in Flåm, start at the Flåm Marina where you can find bike rentals. Head north on Fv 63 for about 1 kilometer. Look for the Brekkefossen trailhead on your left. You can lock your bike at the trailhead and enjoy the hike to the waterfall. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers uphill.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Flåm Line train to Myrdal. From the train station in Myrdal, you can take a local bus that goes towards the Brekkefossen area. The bus will drop you off near the trailhead. Follow the signs to the Brekkefossen trail which is approximately 1.5 kilometers uphill from where the bus stops.
Car
If you are driving, head north from the center of Flåm on Fv 63. After approximately 1 kilometer, look for the parking area and trailhead for Brekkefossen on your left. There is limited parking available, so be sure to arrive early if you can. After parking, follow the marked trail to the waterfall, which is about 1.5 kilometers uphill.
