Walking
If you are in the center of Fredrikstad, start at Stortorget (the main square). From Stortorget, head southeast on Rådhusgata towards the river. After about 200 meters, turn left onto Kjøpmannsgata. Continue along Kjøpmannsgata until you reach the waterfront. You will see the Gamlebyen (Old Town) across the river. From here, walk along the riverbank to the ferry terminal at Kongens Brygge. Take a ferry to Gamlebyen, which runs every 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gamlebyen, follow the path leading up to the hill. Utsikten is located on the top of the hill, offering beautiful views of the surroundings.

From Fredrikstad Bus Station, take bus line 3 towards Borge. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the stop named 'Gamlebyen'. Upon exiting the bus, walk south towards the river and follow the signs leading to the ferry terminal. Board the ferry to Gamlebyen, which operates frequently. Once you arrive at Gamlebyen, follow the path leading up to Utsikten, which is located at the top of the hill.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental stations in central Fredrikstad. Start at the main square, Stortorget, and cycle southeast on Rådhusgata. After approximately 200 meters, take a left onto Kjøpmannsgata. Continue cycling along the river until you reach the ferry terminal at Kongens Brygge. Secure your bicycle and board the ferry to Gamlebyen. Once you arrive, take the path leading up to Utsikten, which is situated at the top of the hill.
