Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Bergen, the largest city in Hordaland. Head south on the E39 highway for approximately 55 kilometers until you reach the junction near Os. Merge onto Fv555 and continue for about 25 kilometers. Turn onto Fv569, and after about 10 kilometers, you'll arrive at Hesjedalsfossen. There are parking spaces available near the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Hesjedalsfossen using public transportation, take a bus from Bergen to the town of Os. Buses are operated by Skyss, and you can check their schedule online. Once in Os, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Stamnes on Fv569. Get off at the nearest stop to Hesjedalsfossen, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance to ensure a smooth transfer.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Stamnes, you can reach Hesjedalsfossen by walking. Head towards Fv569 and follow the road signs leading to the waterfall. The walk from Stamnes to Hesjedalsfossen is scenic and takes about 30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as some parts of the path may be uneven.
