Walking
Start from the center of Kristiansand, specifically from the Kristiansand Cathedral (Kirkegata 1). Head south on Kirkegata towards Markens gate. Turn right onto Markens gate and continue until you reach the harbor area. From the harbor, you will find the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Fredriksholm, which is a short ride across the water. Once you arrive at Fredriksholm, follow the pathway to explore the fortifications.

From the Kristiansand Bus Station (located at Kvadraturen), take Bus Line 32 towards 'Vågsbygd'. Get off at the 'Fiskebrygga' stop. Walk towards the harbor and locate the ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Fredriksholm. The ferry will take you directly to the island where the fort is located. Once you disembark, follow the signs to Fredriksholm festning.
