If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Bodø. Take E6 southbound towards Fauske. After approximately 27 km, take the exit onto E10 towards Lofoten. Continue on E10 for about 60 km. At the junction with Rv17, take the exit towards Rv17 and follow it for about 25 km until you reach Ørnes. From Ørnes, follow the signs to Bogøy, where Dronningruta is located. The total driving distance from Bodø is approximately 115 km and may take around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Note that you may encounter tolls along E6, so keep some cash or a card ready for that.
Public Transportation
To reach Dronningruta using public transportation, start your journey from Bodø. Take a bus from Bodø Bus Station to Ørnes. The bus journey takes approximately 2 hours and runs several times a day. Once you arrive in Ørnes, you will need to take a local taxi or a bike rental to reach Bogøy (approximately 10 km away). Make sure to check the local bus schedule for the latest times, as they can vary. The total cost for the bus ticket is around NOK 100-200. If you opt for a taxi, it may cost around NOK 200-300 depending on the service.
