If you are traveling by car, take the E6 highway towards Bodø. Once you reach Bodø, follow signs for the city center. Drive towards Nyholmen, which is located at the end of the peninsula. You will need to park your car nearby, as there are limited parking spaces available. The fort is approximately a 15-minute walk from the nearest parking area.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Nyholms Fort using public transportation, take bus number 3 from Bodø's city center. The bus will take you towards Nyholmen. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for the latest times. Once you arrive at the Nyholmen stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to the fort. The bus fare is approximately 40 NOK.
Walking
If you are already in Bodø, walking to Nyholms Fort can be a pleasant option. From the city center, head towards the waterfront and follow the path along the coast. The fort is approximately a 30-minute walk from the city center, offering scenic views of the harbor and surrounding areas.
