Getting there

Walking

Start your journey from the Bodø city center. Head towards Storgata, the main shopping street, and walk north. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rådhusgata. Turn left onto Rådhusgata and walk towards the waterfront. You will pass by Bodø Harbor, which offers beautiful views of the sea and nearby islands. Follow the waterfront path until you reach the bus station, called Bodø busstasjon.

Public Transport - Bus

From Bodø busstasjon, take bus number 4 towards 'Mørkved'. This bus will take you closer to Løpsfjellet. You will need to get off at 'Mørkved' stop. The bus ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for the most accurate timings.

Walking

Once you arrive at Mørkved, exit the bus and walk towards the marked hiking trails leading to Løpsfjellet. Follow the signs indicating the trailhead. The hike to the summit of Løpsfjellet is approximately 3 km and should take around 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Hiking

As you ascend Løpsfjellet, the trail will vary in steepness. Keep to the marked path and take your time. Once you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Bodø and the surrounding landscape. Make sure to take plenty of photos!
