    From Oppdal, drive northwest on Fv70 for about 15 km until you reach the junction with E6. Merge onto E6 towards Trondheim. Continue on E6 for approximately 40 km, passing through Dombås. After Dombås, take the exit for Fv29 towards Hjerkinn. Follow Fv29 for about 20 km until you reach Hjerkinnhusvegen. Turn left onto Hjerkinnhusvegen and continue for about 1.5 km to reach the entrance of Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park.

    From Oppdal, take the bus service operated by Frøya Auto or similar companies towards Dombås. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Dombås, transfer to the bus heading towards Hjerkinn. This second leg of the journey will take about 30 minutes. When you reach Hjerkinn, disembark at the stop closest to Hjerkinnhusvegen. From there, walk approximately 1.5 km along Hjerkinnhusvegen to reach the entrance of Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park.
