Walking
From Frogner Park, head east towards Bygdøy allé. Walk along Bygdøy allé until you reach the intersection with Nationaltheatret. Continue straight until you reach the main street, Karl Johans gate. Turn left and walk down Karl Johans gate towards the Oslo Opera House. At the end of Karl Johans gate, turn right onto Akershus Festning. The fortress will be on your left.

Public Transport - Tram
From Frogner, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is Frogner Park (Line 12). Board the tram heading towards Majorstuen. Get off at Stortorvet (3 stops) and transfer to Line 13 or 19 (both heading towards Ljabru). Get off at the stop called Akershus Festning. The fortress will be a short walk from the tram stop.
