If you're driving, start from the city center of Fredrikstad. Head southwest on Storgata toward Kirkeveien, then take the E6 motorway toward Oslo. After about 10 kilometers, take exit 5 toward Kråkerøy. Continue on Kråkerøyveien and follow the signs to Kjøkøy Fort. Once you reach Putten, you will see signs directing you to the fort. Parking is available near the entrance, and there are no parking fees.

From Fredrikstad, take bus route 100 or 101 towards Kråkerøy. Get off at the 'Kråkerøy Skole' bus stop. From there, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers toward Putten, following the signs to Kjøkøy Fort. The walk should take about 20 minutes. Note that bus fares typically cost around 40 NOK for a single journey.
