Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Oslo. Take the E18 highway towards Drammen and continue onto E134 toward Haugesund. After about 2 hours, take the exit toward E16 in the direction of Bergen. Continue on E16 for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. As you approach Granvin, look for signage directing you to Skjervsfossen Waterfall. The parking area is located at Skjervet, 5736 Granvin. Note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from Oslo Central Station to Voss. The train ride takes about 5 hours. Once in Voss, transfer to a local bus that goes to Granvin. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive in Granvin, you may need to walk or take a taxi to reach Skjervsfossen Waterfall, which is about 5 kilometers from the bus stop in Granvin. Be sure to check the bus and train schedules in advance, as they may vary.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer more direct transportation, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service from Voss or Granvin. This option is more expensive but will save you time and provide a more comfortable ride. From Voss, the taxi ride to Skjervsfossen Waterfall will take around 30 minutes, while from Granvin, it will take approximately 10 minutes. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip.
