Car
From Stavanger, take the E39 highway south towards Sandnes. Once you reach Sandnes, continue on E39 until you see the signs for the ferry to Sør-Hidle. The ferry terminal is located at Kjeøy, which is well-signposted. Take the ferry that operates to Sør-Hidle. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Sør-Hidle, follow the signs towards Flor og Fjære, which is located approximately a 5-minute drive from the ferry terminal.
Public Transport
From Stavanger, take a bus (line 1 or 3) to the Sandnes bus station. From there, you can catch a local bus to the Kjeøy ferry terminal. It is advisable to check the local bus schedules in advance for the most current information. Once at the ferry terminal, board the ferry to Sør-Hidle. After arriving at Sør-Hidle, you can take a taxi or a local shuttle service to Flor og Fjære, which is about 5 minutes away.
Ferry
If you are coming specifically from the mainland, you will need to catch the ferry from Kjeøy to Sør-Hidle. The ferry runs frequently, but it’s wise to check the timetable before you travel. The cost of the ferry ticket is approximately NOK 100 for adults, but prices may vary, so confirm the current rates on the ferry operator's website or at the terminal.
