Car
If you are driving from Stavanger, take the E39 highway towards Kristiansand. Continue on E39 for about 50 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Rv13 road. Take the Rv13 towards Forsand. Follow Rv13 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the village of Forsand. From Forsand, take the ferry across the Lysefjorden to Lysebotn. Once you arrive in Lysebotn, you can park your car in the designated parking area. Kjerag will be accessible from here, with clear signage guiding you to the hiking trail.
Public Transportation
To reach Kjerag by public transportation, first take a bus from Stavanger to Forsand. You can catch the bus from Stavanger Bus Station. The bus ride will take around one hour. Once you arrive in Forsand, you will need to take the ferry to Lysebotn. Ferry schedules may vary, so be sure to check the timetable in advance. After arriving in Lysebotn, you can walk to the parking area where the hiking trail to Kjerag begins. Look for signs that will direct you to the starting point of the hike.
