Car
If you are driving, start your journey from the city center of Stavanger. Head southwest on Østervåg toward Breiavatnet, then turn left onto Kjeragveien. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bybrua, where the Stavanger City Bridge is located. There are parking options available nearby, but be aware of parking fees which may range from NOK 15 to NOK 30 per hour.
Public Transportation
To reach Stavanger City Bridge using public transportation, take the local bus from Stavanger bus station. Routes 1, 2, or 3 regularly stop near Bybrua. You can purchase a ticket at the station or via the Kolumbus app, which costs around NOK 35 for a single trip. Once you disembark at the Bybrua stop, walk towards the bridge, which is just a short distance away.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, you can easily walk to the Stavanger City Bridge. From the main shopping area (Lagårdsveien), head towards the waterfront. Follow the signs to Bybrua, and you will reach the bridge in approximately 10-15 minutes. This is a pleasant walk along the scenic harbor.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, Stavanger has several bicycle paths. Rent a bike from one of the local rental services, like Stavanger Bike Rental. Cycle towards the harbor area, and follow the signs to Bybrua. This route is well-signed and takes about 10 minutes from the city center. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
