Car
If you're driving, start from Stavanger city center. Head north on E39 towards Sandnes. After about 10 km, take the exit towards Fv508 towards Mosterøy. Follow Fv508 for approximately 15 km until you reach the ferry terminal at Mortavika. Take the ferry to Arsvågen (the ferry operates frequently, and the cost is around 45 NOK for a car). Upon disembarking, continue on Fv508 towards Mosterøy. Follow the signs to Utstein Kloster, which will be located on Mosterøyveien 801, 4156 Mosterøy, approximately 6 km from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation
To reach Utstein Kloster using public transport, start at Stavanger bus station. Take the bus number 101 towards Sandnes. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop for Mortavika ferry terminal. From there, take the ferry to Arsvågen (the ferry ticket costs around 45 NOK). Once you arrive at Arsvågen, you will need to catch bus number 101 again towards Mosterøy. Get off at the stop closest to Mosterøyveien 801, which is about a 15-minute walk to Utstein Kloster. Make sure to check the bus and ferry schedules in advance to ensure smooth connections.
