Car
If you're driving, start by heading towards the E39 highway. From Stavanger, take the E39 south towards Sandnes, then follow the signs for the E39 towards Lysebotn. Continue on E39 until you reach the junction for the Rv 500. Turn onto Rv 500 and follow the road signs leading to Lysebotn. As you approach Lysebotn, the road will become narrow and winding, with stunning views of the fjords. Once in Lysebotn, look for Lysevegen 475, where Kjerag is located.
Public Transportation
To reach Kjerag via public transport, start by taking a bus from Stavanger to Lysebotn. You can catch the bus at the Stavanger bus station. Make sure to check the schedule in advance as services may vary. The bus will take you through scenic routes along the fjords. Once you arrive in Lysebotn, walk to Lysevegen 475, which is the starting point for the Kjerag hike. Ensure you have a map or use a navigation app to guide you to the exact location.
