Start from the center of Tromsø at the main square, Stortorget. Head south along the main street, Storgata, for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Søndre Tollbodgate. Turn left onto Søndre Tollbodgate and continue walking for about 200 meters. You will find the Alter Telegraphenmast located at the end of this street, with its distinctive structure visible. From Tromsø city center, you can take bus line 34 or 36 from the bus stop at Storgata (near the main square). The bus will take you towards the direction of the university. Get off at the stop named 'Søndre Tollbodgate' (approximately 5 minutes ride). Once you get off the bus, walk back approximately 100 meters along Søndre Tollbodgate, and you will see the Alter Telegraphenmast on your right.
