Getting there

Bus

From the city center of Tromsø, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is typically 'Tromsø sentrum' (the main bus terminal). Board bus number 26, which is headed towards 'Tromsdalen'. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on the bus stops along the way, and disembark at the 'Fjellheisen' stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs toward the Fjellheisen cable car station, which is a short walk away.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, start at the iconic Arctic Cathedral (Ishavskatedralen) located at Hans Nilsens vei 41. From there, head down to the waterfront and follow the path along the coast towards Tromsdalen. Continue along the main road, Sollivegen, for about 3 km. Look for signs directing you to the Fjellheisen cable car station, which will be located on your left. This route will take approximately 35-45 minutes depending on your pace.

Taxi

For a more direct option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Tromsø to Fjellheisen. Simply hail a taxi or use a ride-hailing app. Provide the driver with the address: Sollivegen 12, 9020 Tromsdalen. The taxi ride will take roughly 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
