    If you are driving, start by heading towards Rjukan. From Oslo, take the E18 highway towards Drammen, then follow the signs for Highway 37 towards Kongsberg. Once you reach Kongsberg, switch to Highway 362 and then follow the signs for Highway 40 towards Rjukan. Once you arrive in Rjukan, follow the local signs to Gaustabanen, which is located at 3660 Rjukan. There is ample parking available at the site. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

    To reach Gaustabanen via public transport, you can take a train from Oslo to Notodden. From Notodden, transfer to a bus that goes to Rjukan. Buses are operated by the Telemark Kollektivtrafikk.
