If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Bergen, which is one of the main cities in Vestlandet. Take the E16 highway heading east towards Voss. Continue on E16 for approximately 75 kilometers until you reach Voss. Once in Voss, follow the signs for the Rv13 road. After about 9 kilometers on Rv13, turn left onto Reppavegen. Continue on Reppavegen for about 2 kilometers, and you will arrive at Nesheimstunet, located at Reppavegen, 5710 Skulestadmo. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation (Train + Bus)
To reach Nesheimstunet via public transportation, begin your journey by taking a train from Bergen to Voss. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving at Voss station, exit and catch a local bus towards Skulestadmo. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Ensure you check the local bus schedules in advance as they may vary. Get off at the nearest stop to Nesheimstunet, which is Reppavegen. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the site. Note that bus tickets can be purchased at the station or via a mobile app, and the cost is typically around NOK 50-100.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi from Voss to Nesheimstunet. Taxis are available outside the Voss train station. The drive will take about 15 minutes and will cost approximately NOK 300-400, depending on traffic and time of day.
