If you are starting from downtown Akron, head north on Main Street towards State Route 59. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with State Route 59. Turn left onto State Route 59 and follow it for about 1 mile. As you approach the intersection with W Bath Rd, look for signage indicating the direction to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Turn right onto W Bath Rd and walk approximately 0.3 miles, where you will find the Great Blue Heron Viewing Area on your left at the intersection with Akron Peninsula Rd.

Public Transit (Bus)
Start at the Akron Metro Transit Center. Board the bus route 1 (North Hill) and ride it for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop at Akron Peninsula Rd & W Bath Rd. From there, walk straight on Akron Peninsula Rd for about 0.1 miles until you reach the Great Blue Heron Viewing Area, which will be on your right.
