    From Downtown Akron, head west on Main Street toward Market Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Edgewood Avenue. Turn left onto Edgewood Avenue and walk approximately 0.3 miles. The Akron Zoo will be on your right at 500 Edgewood Ave, Akron, OH 44307.

    You can catch the Summit County Public Transit bus from any nearby bus stop in Downtown Akron. Look for the '50' bus route heading toward West Akron. The nearest bus stop is located at the Akron Civic Theatre on Main St. After boarding, stay on the bus for about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop closest to the Akron Zoo, which is at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and the zoo entrance. Note that a single ride fare is $1.50.
